Somehow, here we are - 45 years later.
On Friday, July 24, 2026, we'll gather again as the Washington Senior High School Class of 1981 for a relaxed evening at Josiah's Coffeehouse & Café in Sioux Falls. Nothing formal. Nothing fancy. Just a chance to come together, see familiar faces, share a few stories, and remember a time in our lives that, looking back now, was pretty special.
This reunion is really about one simple thing: reconnecting.
We've all lived a lot of life since our days at Washington. Some of us stayed close to Sioux Falls, and some of us moved far away. Some of us are retired, some are still working, and many of us have raised families, changed careers, faced hard seasons, celebrated good ones, and become people our 18-year-old selves probably never could have imagined.
And through all of that, there is still something meaningful about coming back together with the people who knew us when we were young.
There are friendships from those years that have lasted a lifetime. Others may have faded only because life got busy, distance got in the way, or the years moved too fast. This evening gives us a chance to find our way back to one another - to sit down, laugh, remember, and maybe pick up a conversation that started decades ago.
When we were walking the halls of Washington Senior High School, cheering for the Warriors, going to games, dances, classes, and all the ordinary, everyday moments we probably took for granted, we didn't know how much those years would stay with us. But they did. The people, the memories, the friendships, the feeling of growing up in Sioux Falls - they became part of who we are.
That's what makes this reunion worth coming to.

The Evening
Our evening at Josiah's Coffeehouse & Café will be casual, comfortable, and easy. Josiah's has such a warm and welcoming feel - the kind of place where people naturally settle in, visit, wander from table to table, and feel at home. It is the perfect setting for a reunion that is not about schedules or speeches, but about conversation, laughter, memories, and simply enjoying each other's company.
And let's be honest - after 45 years, there may be a few moments where we have to look twice, laugh, and say, "Tell me your name again." That's part of the fun. Time has changed all of us a little, but the connection is still there.

On the Table
Josiah's will have a beautiful snack and hors d'oeuvres table set up for us on their long serving table, done in the thoughtful and welcoming way they are known for. This will not be a full dinner, but there will be plenty to enjoy throughout the evening while we visit - easy, generous, and relaxed. The kind of food table where you can grab a plate, keep talking, and go back for a little more without ever feeling rushed.

Pricing
- Early registration - paid by July 15$30 per person
- Regular registration - after July 15$40 per person
- Door charge - arriving after 8:30 PM on July 24$20 per person
The door charge helps cover facility costs for late arrivals. We encourage everyone to register in advance so we can plan accordingly.

Bring Memorabilia
Your attic holds more history than you think.
Why it matters
These items aren't just old paper and fabric - they're time capsules. Seeing a familiar yearbook photo, a letter jacket, or a concert ticket stub unlocks memories we didn't know we still had. They spark conversations, rekindle friendships, and remind us how far we've come together. Please bring anything you're willing to share - we'll have a dedicated table to display it safely.

Any year WHS 1981 - signed, doodled, or pristine.
Letter jackets & apparel
Jackets, jerseys, band uniforms, club t-shirts, or cheer gear.
Programs & tickets
Sports programs, playbills, concert tickets, dance cards.
Arts & publications
School newspapers, literary magazines, art projects, band recordings.
Anything else
Mixtapes, awards, patches, pins, or any treasure from our years together.
Label your items with your name so we can return them. We'll have a secure display area and will take photos of the collection to share after the event.

Come as you are. No pressure. No expectations. Just come back, even for one evening, and spend time with people who were part of your story. Please register early so we can plan well - it's been too long.
